Full Spectrum Farms started as an idea by two women from western North Carolina after they visited The Carolina Living and Learning Center (CLLC). The CLLC is an integrated vocational and residential program for adults with autism located in Pittsboro, NC. One has a son, who has autism, and he was in a residential treatment program at the Murdoch Center, near Butner, NC. She knew from her son's experience how beneficial a structured, predictable lifestyle can be for people with autism. At the center her son had found a home that he enjoyed as well as a home that relaxed and challenged him.
