Full Moon Standard Poodles began in 1995, when I acquired my first Standard Poodle puppy, "Cinder". We live in San Diego, California and have access to many fine dog clubs. I have been a member of the San Diego Obedience Club, which is over 50 years old, for 8 years. When Cinder was 6 months old I started his formal obedience training there. This was the beginning of my involvement in the world of dog sports. The club offers great training for fun and / or competitive work. Cinder has obtained his CD and is currently training for his CDX. This club has a Heel Along Drill Team that four of my Standards participate in, as well as offering CGC testing at there trials. All six of my Standards have there CGC's. The next dog sport that we became involved with is Agility. I served on the board of Ups and Downs Agility Club in San Marcos for a year while Cinder earned 3 titles, his NA, NAJ, and NJC. This was great fun and I started training Nomad Jack when I discovered Flyball. Of all the sports I have participated in, this was the most fun. I started up a Flyball team called Fast Fourward and four of my Standards are trained for it. Cinder is now number 12 in the NAFA rankings for Standard Poodles in the USA and Canada. He earned his FD, FDX, FDCH, and now his FM .
Animal Planet, "That's My Baby" featured our very own girl Savanna!!! The show truly captured the athletic ability of the standard poodle as well as the family surrounding we strive to have for our standard poodles.
Also, Cox Cable featured Savanna in a commercial for the opening of Pet Co Park here in San Diego. This should start airing 2004!
