Description
The Friends of Sweetwater Creek State Park, Inc. is a non-profit organization of Volunteers who have incorporated with the purpose of protecting, preserving, and carefully developing the rich nature and history of Sweetwater Creek State Park.
For years the volunteers have annually taken over 3,500 school children, church groups and other organizations down the trails of Sweet water Creek teaching them our rich Georgia history and introducing them to nature and the world in which we live.
Friends supplied the park with needed equipment and repairs, all without public money. The wild Wednesday program teaches children about plants and nature all summer long and in February ...history month...Ga. history is taught and walks to the mill teach further history. Here Bill Cahill leads a group.
