freeVSD is a collection of scripts and binaries developed to create a highly optimized web hosting environment based on leading edge technologies.
Originally produced for an ISP in the UK, freeVSD has now been under constant development for more than three years. Rigorous testing of freeVSD by over 3000 web designers, developers and hosting resellers has proved it to be both stable and secure in a production web hosting environment.
Using freeVSD an ISP can deploy hundreds of secure 'virtual servers' on a single host server, each with its own administrator account and suite of private hosting applications (Apache, Sendmail, MySQL etc). This is accomplished by introducing a 3-tiered web hosting architecture.
