The City of Frankfort was founded in 1786 and is the Capital of the Commonwealth of Kentucky and the County seat for Franklin County. The City is located in the Bluegrass Region in Central Kentucky and has a population of approximately 28,000 residents. The daily population increases to approximately 50,000 based on workforce that resides in the County or commutes from nearby Counties.
