The average cost of participation in the recreational league is $4.50 to $8.50 per game. This cost when further spread between practices and supervised team activities is reduced another 50-66%, making baseball a very economical and rewarding summer program. FCBC is funded solely through fees, sponsorships, fundraising and donations. FCBC provides, on an average, over $6,000 per year of reduced fees and scholarships to lower income and in-need families.
FCBC is governed by a Board of Directors, who employs a full-time Executive Director to oversee the day to day management of the organization. FCBC has two standing committees, Recreational and Competitive, who in turn have representatives on the Board of Directors. In 2001, FCBC played games seven days a week on sixty-four different ball fields throughout the community. All available city, school district, and private fields were utilized during the season. Along with the city field crews, many of these fields are partially and some fully maintained by field crews hired by FCBC. In addition, sixty-one highly trained and tested umpires, covering nearly 3500 games are employed by the club. Well over 400 volunteer coaches and other team personnel participate in the program every year.
