Built originally in 1909 for the then active defensive installation of Fort Casey, the Inn is located next door to Fort Casey State Park with its bunkers, lighthouse, 10-inch disappearing guns, public beaches and trails. Spectacular views of the Straits of Juan de Fuca, Olympic Mountains, Cascade Mountains, and the San Juan Islands are in walking distance. The Inn also overlooks Crockett Lake, which is a natural bird sanctuary and Admiralty Bay on Puget Sound.
Guests can spend time browsing throught the shops of historic Coupeville, located five minutes away by car or take the Port Townsend/Keystone Ferry (.9 miles from the Inn) to the wonderful shops and ambiance of the Port Townsend community.
