Today, Forterra and the US Army's Research, Development and Engineering Command (RDECOM) are building Asymmetric Warfare-Virtual Training Technology (AW-VTT) to assess virtual training for joint, interagency, and multinational operations in asymmetric and unconventional warfare. Under a grant from the US Army's Telemedicine and Advanced Technology Research Center (TATRC), Forterra and Stanford University are creating virtual training applications that allow medical first responder teams to rehearse coordinated responses to mass-casualty incidents. Forterra's OLIVE Platform is also behind There , a massively multiplayer consumer application that provides a rich, immersive 3D virtual environment for a world-wide audience.
