- It began as an idea resulting from a trip to Florida by Marvin Berk, a local business owner and in ten short years it has become one of the top scholastic sporting events in Southwestern Pennsylvania. Marvin was in Florida at a Rotary meeting. They had a football game going and it was very successful, and when he heard that, he realized that if they can do that in Florida, we should be able to do it in Western Pennsylvania. With that a Notion of the Classic was Born!
