Description
Foothills Digital was formed in August, 2002 as the new face for BN Computer, which operated in both Calgary, Alberta and Kingston, Ontario between 1995 and the formation of Foothills Digital. The company is owned and operated by Brandon Beierle, a native Calgarian who lived in Kingston, Ontario for 5 years, until moving back to Alberta in August, 2002. While in Kingston, Brandon obtained his Ph.D. in physical geography from Queen's University, as well as teaching a variety of courses including Geographic Information Systems and Digital Cartography. Brandon has more than 8 years of experience consulting in the computer industry and holds both A+ and Network+ certifications. His experience includes repair and maintenance of EM and acoustic computer-based geophysical systems, laboratory instruments and data-sharing networks, as well as programming instrument interfaces to link computers and instruments. On the less exotic side, he also has extensive experience in the installation and administration of File, WWW, Email and FTP servers as well as the installation and service of networks, PC’s and peripherals, using a variety of operating systems, software and network protocols in a range of environments.
