To serve as a vehicle for expanding opportunities for recreation, environmental education, and forest management programs within Florida's State Forests through community support.
Friends of Florida State Forests
Friends of Florida State Forests, Inc. (FFSF) was approved by the Florida Legislature as a direct-support organization to help the Division of Forestry (DOF) with its forest management needs.
It was created to enable citizens to contribute toward general forestry operations or toward specific forestry projects of their choice. It is a membership organization governed by a board of directors who oversee its operation and expenditures.
