WHAT WE DO The strategy followed by Flexitral since its creation late in 2001 is to identify the fragrance and flavor industry's most pressing needs and answer them by rational odorant design (see new article). Flexitral has developed methods to predict the smell of a molecule before it is synthesized. When looking for a target compound with a specific odor, we generate a dataset of hundreds of structures. Odor character and intensity are calculated for every structure.
