I was hired and trained to be an F&I (Finance & Insurance) man, in fact, the 2nd ever hired in CT. The F&I department has become the most important profit center for dealerships today. When I left the industry 7 years later; I had achieved the position as a Director of Leasing, Potamkin Cadillac, East Side Branch, NYC. Potamkin was considered the most successful dealership in the country at that time.
