Description
The Flavor of France was conceived by Sylvie Julien, a Grenoble native from the French Provence. As she grew up, Sylvie watched her grandmother, Mamy Renee, fashion and sew dresses she sold in her shop. Summers were spent in Montelimar, a Provencal town laced with the fragrance of lavender, where she helped her family make wine. It was here that Sylvie learned about the special Provencal products from her grandmother. Mamy Jeanne who hung lavender in her armoire and bathed in local natural soaps.
A few years ago, Sylvie moved to California. What she missed the most was the smell of lavender and the other reminders of home. When she returned to her home town to celebrate her marriage with her family, she purchased some sachets, placemats and soaps to take home with her. Her new friends in California loved these products and asked her to import some for them - and the Flavor of France was born.
