What is Flavan™?

In 1951 Dr. Masquelier received a French patent for the extraction of Flavay® from the bark of pinus Maritima (Maritime pine bark). In 1964 and 1965 Dr. Masquelier received two more patents which resulted in the introduction of Flavan™ (comprised of “flavan” molecules) into the French marketplace in 1968. Flavan™ is still on sale in French drugstores and prescribed by French doctors—for well over 30 years.
