- Fitness Shack is a full-time fitness equipment sales and repair business owned by me, Kelly Barthlow. I got my start in the fitness industry back in 1988 in a shop in Durham, NC. I've done a little bit of everything related to fitness equipment over the years including equipment sales, service repair and store management. I started Fitness Shack in 1998 when our family moved from NC to OH.
