FIT Biotech Oyj Plc (formerly Finnish Immunotechnology Oy) was founded in 1995 as an R&D biotechnology company concentrating on the development of vaccines and gene transport technology. FIT Biotech's headquarters are located in Tampere, Finland, where it also has a cGMP approved production facility. In addition, the company has a research facility in Tartu, Estonia.
FIT Biotech's long-term vision is to continue developing selected vaccines and gene therapies based on its proprietary gene delivery technology (GTU®). FIT Biotech plans to become a globally renowned name in the fields of vaccines and DNA delivery through its own research and product acquisitions.
