Southland Fly Fishing Guides. New Zealand
Description
Location ....'from the mountains to the sea'
Southland Fly Fishing Guides, as our name says, operate in the province of Southland. The infinite variety of brown and rainbow trout waters we have here, are all accessible within a relatively short drive and provide some of the best, most challenging sight fishing you could experience anywhere in the world. From gin clear mountain streams and peaceful meandering creeks to the larger river networks flowing through the fertile Southland plains, we have it all. It is said in New Zealand, that the further south you go, the friendlier the people! This is the southern most region of New Zealand, incorporating Invercargill and Stewart Island to the south, Fiordland to the west, Gore to the east - and bordering on the famous Southern Lakes and Queenstown to the north. Air access is through Queenstown or Invercargill airports.
Experience ....'a lifetime of experience.'
Alan Wilson - Director/Owner of Southland Fly Fishing Guides. I am blessed to have lived all my life in Southland. My playground since childhood has been the vast and scenic mountains, the spectacular valleys, plains, rivers steams and lakes of our region. Decades of fly-fishing, guiding and hunting in this area have enriched my life, local knowledge and experience. I also have the privilege of being the guiding manager for one of New Zealand's original exclusive fishing Lodge's. It is a pleasure to be able to share my passion and patch of paradise with fellow anglers worldwide. The three other guides, who make up 'Southland Fly Fishing Guides' team, are also born and bred Southlander's who come from similar backgrounds as myself. Combined we represent many years of experience and local knowledge!
Professionalism ....'not just a word, a fact'
Members of the New Zealand Professional Fishing Guides Association (NZPFGA). Alan Wilson and the three other guides in our team, are all members of the NZPFGA that sets the highest standards for its members to meet and maintain.
