Fisher’s Office Equipment was founded in 1936 as an Underwood typewriter sales and service dealership, located in downtown Boise, Idaho.
During the 1980’s Gary Mahn purchased the company and expanded it into three different entities, all beginning with the Fisher's name:
Gregg Alger and Terry Moore joined Gary Mahn as partners in Fisher's Office Equipment in 1993, bringing their expertise in the electronic content management business. Fisher's Office Equipment’s core business at the time was identical to the core business from 1936: sales and servicing of electronic content management software/equipment, i.e. Underwood Typewriters in 1936 as compared to Canon, HP and Hitachi today.
