Earliest recorded date is May 1876, when meetings were held in family homes, under the leadership of Rev. D.L. Creelman, a Presbyterian Minister.
Following the outbreak of the First World War, cooperation with the Methodist Church, which led to the union with the United Church of Canada on June 10, 1925.
