First parish is a Christian Church in the Reformed Protestant tradition established in Gorham, ME in 1750. Amid a great deal of theological and personal diversity, we share a common commitment to seek God's grace and to love our fellow human beings. As we join together on our pilgrimage of faith, we seek to affirm and respect the beliefs of others. Our God is a mystery whose nature we have discovered in Jesus Christ and whose presence we share in the Holy Spirit.
