First Morris Bank and Trust - Home

Description

At First Morris, we put Morris first. Our name is synonymous with our heritage and present-day mission: placing Morris County area residents, businesses and organizations at the forefront of our endeavors.

Chartered by the State of New Jersey on June 4, 1969, First Morris Bank was heralded by Commissioner Horace J. Bryant Jr. as "reasonable and healthy competition", despite the opposition of banks in the area. In July of 1970, the main office was opened at 250 Madison Avenue, in the Convent Station section of Morris Township. Branch offices were subsequently added in Morris Plains, Morristown, a second location in Morris Township, Denville, Madison, Dover/Rockaway, and Randolph. In 1999, the bank expanded its array of financial services by the addition of Wealth Management Services and a formal name change to First Morris Bank and Trust. In April 2001, a newly constructed office was opened for the Morristown branch facing the historic "Green" in the center of Morristown. The ninth branch, located in Mendham, was added in 2004.

First Morris has received honors as a top financial provider for Morris County - made possible by the dedication of the entire organization - from the Board of Directors to Branch Staff. The large number of loyal customers who have chosen First Morris over the years is a testament to our unique and personalized customer care, and the flexibility of local management to quickly respond to the financial needs of customers.
