Firstcall India was created as the result simply of an observation concerning the market in the late- nineties: in India, and in particular the new economy segment, it was difficult to set up a dialogue between the world of finance and that of industry.
In a country in which the great majority of the entrepreneurial community is made up of small,medium and large enterprises, this dialogue was a great opportunity for those who were willing to engage in working it out.
We therefore decided to concentrate our work on creating an entity that would stand, metaphorically,half-way between finance and industry, and would be able to recognise the financial values of an investment bank but also be capable, at the same time, of perceiving the industrial needs of small, medium and large size enterprises striving to grow and of providing the appropriate answers.
