Rodney Bates formed Firstcall in 1990. Having worked for over 30 years in the photographic trade, he realised that High Street photographic stores were no longer catering for the demands of the creative photographer. He decided to form a company to cater for their wants and needs particularly in the darkroom and product-related areas.
