Description
The First Baptist Church congregation began over 200 years ago. The church family today is a blend of children, young adults, families, and seniors. About 150 gather for worship each Sunday and about 100 attend Sunday School and Adult Education classes. The week is filled with small groups that study scripture, pray together, and give the support and encouragement each Christian needs to live faithfully for Christ. First Baptist Church is a member of the American Baptist Churches, USA relating to congregations in New York State, the United States, and around the world.
Our church building is distinguished by it's tall steeple that towers above the brick facade. An Educational wing provides room for Christian Education as well as a before and after school program called King's Kids , and a daily nursery school called Play School. The gymnasium allows for a variety of church and community activities and programs.
Manlius, NY and Fayetteville, NY are sister villages only four miles apart, combining to create the Fayetteville-Manlius Central School District , one of the finest in the nation. The community provides a great place to live and grow, complete with the resources of the mid sized city of Syracuse , NY.
