FIREHOUSE.NO - A tribute to KISS!

The intention has and allways will bee to create an experience based on the best of KISS' 70's show. Two of the members (Peter and Ace) played in a KISS coverband called Parasite for allmost 10 years. You could say that we're all real die hard KISS fans :)
First we sat down and discussed which songs we wanted to play, and as many of you would know, that's not an easy task. During this project it became clear what difficulties KISS themselves have concerning this issue. You have to consider what the majority wants to hear as well as the die-hards, which also includes us. Since two of us has experience from before, we know that a lot of what the die-hards would like to hear, just doesn't work when played live. Tunes like "Strange Ways" and "Love Her All I Can" is what many of us consider as killer songs, but we've tried it, and it didn't get the response we hoped for. So, the result is that we play songs that KISS themselves has played a lot live. Of course, if anybody has requests, we'll gladly consider them. Just mail us: fanmail@firehouse.no
Next we had to find out which costumes to use. First we thought of using costumes from the same era, but since it is extremely expensive to run a KISS show ($600 just for one pair of boots), we decided that Peter and Ace would use the costumes they already had from the other band, and make Gene and Paul new ones. As of today, Ace use the Hotter Than Hell costume, Peter uses Love Gun, and Gene & Paul the Alive! ones. Things is likely to change in the future, but for the time being we're happy with what we've got.
