Description
When asked what is the Firebaugh Computer Learning Center, I often respond, “FCLC is a community technology center.” But, what is a community technology center? A popular definition is that it is a community-based facility that provides access to computers and information technology for people who may not have computers or Internet connections at home.
Our mission is to provide social, economic and educational advancement opportunities for residents of Firebaugh and the surrounding rural area through technology training and programs. But FCLC is more than a place with computers.
We are a sense of place for people who live in the neighborhood and in the larger community. We are a place where people who have never used a computer before can learn how not to be afraid of touching a computer or breaking it.
