Finnish Designs is located just south of Duluth, Minnesota. Duluth is a city rich in Scandinavian heritage situated at the westernmost point of Lake Superior. We make our home in the small town of Esko, a crossroad founded by people of Finnish descent.
Finnish Designs was founded in 1981 and has served the Scandinavian gift industry for over 20 years as a wholesale supplier and distributor of unique Scandinavian products. In addition, Finnish Designs has traveled throughout the country to Scandinavian festivals and gatherings with these products.
Finnish Designs began it’s second generation in 1998, nearly 20 years after it was started by my mother and father, Jim and LaVerne Rengo. The designs and artistry that you will see on our site are the creative works of LaVerne , who is still busy generating new artwork and ideas for Finnish Designs.
