Who is Figure 8 Muskie Charters & Guide Services?
Davis Battah has been an avid angler since the young age of 8 when he caught his first big pike while out trolling with his father on Chandos Lake where the family cottage was located. It was love at first bite. Years later, Davis continued with his passion, learning how to effectively target Northern Pike throughout the year.
He then discovered the Pikes cousin, the Muskellunge many years later, and has dedicated hundreds of hours every season on the water for the past 8 years targeting strictly Muskie. His relentless pursuit of Canada's largest freshwater predator has made him a well respected angler amongst his peers and in the angling community. In 2003, he was invited to participate in an ongoing tagging study undertaken by the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources of Muskellunge on Lake Scugog located only 45 minutes north east of Toronto. This study is the first of its kind and is geared to developing and monitoring information such as feeding habits, growth, migration and countless other facts on the Muskellunge habits. This study will continue for years to come and Davis is both excited and proud to be an integral part of this important research.
Davis has begun spending the off seasons, designing and developing his own prototype baits and is preparing editorial pieces hoping to become a regular contributor in major Muskie and Pike magazines distributed throughout North America and is an active Member of the Toronto Chapter of Muskies Canada.
