The Home Loan Bank is pleased to announce that it is accepting applications for the 2006 Rural Homeownership Fund (RHF) effective June 1st through June 30th. Each year the Bank allocates a portion of its Affordable Housing Program funds for a rural homebuyer program. Applications are available only through the convenience of eAdvantage, the Bank's "member's only" Internet banking service! You must be signed up for eAdvantage to apply.
The Board of Directors of the Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines has elected Richard S. Swanson as President and CEO effective June 1, 2006. Mr. Swanson is an attorney, veteran bank CEO and former director of the Federal Home Loan Bank of Seattle. He will replace Neil Fruechte, who has served as Acting President and Chief Executive Officer for the Bank since late December 2005.
The Bank announced on Friday, May 12, 2006 that it has filed a Form 10 Registration Statement with the Securities and Exchange Commission. The Bank’s Registration Statement includes its financial statements for the year ending December 31, 2005 and reflects the restatement of previously reported financial results for years 2001 through 2004.
