Femminastyle.com was launched in August of 2004 by Anissa Mook. It all began as her own little spot to sell her handmade soaps, Swarovski crystal jewelry, and reconstructed tees. Within a few months Anissa added some vintage finds and started the consignment program. Now a year later Femminastyle.com has evolved from having only one designer to carrying a variety of independent designers and a fantastic assortment of beautiful vintage clothing and accessories!
Anissa Mook is also the co-founder of Indie Shopping, a site dedicated to spreading the news about non-mainstream products to people who are tired of shopping at the local mall, as well as Indie Buzz PR. She began her career in the fashion and marketing industry as a fashion merchandising student at San Francisco's Academy of Art College. Her devotion to small and independent business has led her to become a driving force in the indie fashion industry.
