Description
FeedUs is an umbrella project for many tasks related developing our core competence wielding algorithmically constructed information.
Why?
Our CompostUs project opens the door for much more dynamic content. This project addresses the development and operational costs of incorporating content from diverse sources.
Done When
We'll be done when we can add a new data source and have it reasonably integrated into our site within a single, two week iteration. This project is to build a suitable infrastructure for this, not the actual work of integrating feeds. However, this project's success depends on its co-evolution with current and new feeds.
Areas impacted by any new feed include:
- New schema and db creation
- Daemon and parser for new sources
- Merge heuristics with existing data
- Interface and interaction design
- Supervision and patroling
