- ABOUT FEED THE HUNGER FOUNDATION:
- Feed The Hunger Foundation exists to give poor people the opportunity to rise out of poverty and servitude. By partnering with organizations serving those most in need, FTH will provide small loans and grants to poor individuals. Some of these individuals will be able to purchase a bicycle to take their woven baskets to market. Some will buy goats in order to provide milk for their children and to sell cheese. Others will be able to buy thread and material to sew clothes. With their meager profits, they will be able to repay the loan of $100 or $250, and put a few dollars into a savings account. In addition to providing loans, microcredit has been a “platform” that allows other social services such as health and life insurance, education, and housing to be afforded poor people.
