Fretwell-Downing Informatics has an understanding of information and knowledge management that is second to none. In the digital age, the amount of information that is available to information managers and librarians is massive. Without an effective means to manage, access and verify its provenance, however, it is just an object waiting to become a liability.
As early as 1992, FDI understood this and set about developing software that would cope not only with high volumes of information, but also with data across a wide range of media and from diverse, local and remote sources.
