Description
Established in 1895, Florence Crittenton Services responds to the pressing needs of adolescent girls, low income pregnant women and teen mothers in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. Our mission is to provide girls and young women with the knowledge, skills and support required for their physical, emotional, economic and social well-being.
We create a safe space where young women feel welcomed and respected—where they can bring their questions and anxieties, as well as share their strengths and successes.
Florence Crittenton prepares young women with the absolute basics they need to prosper: self-awareness, self-esteem, accurate information, critical thinking, effective communication, personal responsibility, an appreciation of diverse backgrounds and viewpoints, and the willingness to grow.
