Faustian Deal

Description

To understand the nature of a 'Faustian Deal', one must first know the history of Dr. John Faustus. The myth first appeared in the 16th century; a German tale of a magician capable of amazing acts. Faustus was reputed to have performed feats which implied powers supernatural in origin. The real Faustus was likely nothing more than a charlatan-a braggart and bullshit artist. However, the myth of Faust has formed the basis for short stories, musical scores, and plays-the most popular being Christopher Marlowe's "The Tragical History of Dr. Faustus". Marlowe's Faust was a man of science who was intrigued by the mysteries of life. Dissatisfied with the answers found in law, medicine, and theology he turns to necromancy-forging an infernal pact to discover the truth. A 'Faustian Deal' is an attempt to follow Faust, signing a deal with the devil to exchange your soul for earthly reward.

The brains behind Faustian Deal, so to speak. This is the guy that writes everything you see here, including the code. Dante began his working career as a bouncer in a seedy bar in South Central Los Angeles. It was there that he discovered an amazing talent for nuclear physics. After spending a few years with a ruthless terrorist organization determined to rule the world, he decided to fall back on his other skill - ASP programming, and went to work for a dot com. Dante is currently living in Northern California with his wife, sixteen children, and pet duck-billed platypus, Sal.

The other guy. Chris is responsible for drawing and stuff. Not much is known about this rogue designer, except where he lives, what his hobbies are, his parents' and girlfriend's names, where he works, the car he drives, how many computers he owns, the fact that he's a vegetarian trying to become vegan, and the number of times a week he changes boxer shorts. Also, his real name isn't Chris ... and he doesn't really have black hair - it's more like a dark brown. I guess it can look black if its wet.
