The domain www.fatbaq.com was purchased on February 15, 2000, the original intent was to showcase the 125GP racing talents of the one and only fatbaq.com team rider, yours truly. The website wasn't officially online until March 21, 2000. Here is what it looked like.

The name fatbaq (pronounced 'fat-back') was a nickname for a good friend who passed away in April 1999. Replacing the 'ck' with a 'Q' was done for the simple reason that fatback.com was already registered; this seems to screw alot of people up on the correct pronunciation.

We are very proud to have been referred to as 'the best' online resource by some of our visitors, and it's happened pretty much by accident. Nevertheless, we plan to continue to support the 125GP racing community with stuff you will find no where else. Like our RS125 Manual Search, RS125 Track Gearing list and other 125 related resources. In addition to the website, we have published a semi-daily (if you're a subscriber you know what we're talking about) newsletter since October 2000, called Harvested News.
