Farmfresh was the idea of David Rose, an East Midlands farmer. As well as working with Farmfresh, David is also involved in helping other businesses.
David believes passionately in good, locally sourced food, and is rightly proud of the quality of produce offered by Farmfresh. At Farmfresh we carefully select the farmers and producers that we deal with to ensure they conform to our strict environmental and animal welfare standards. We also encourage consumers to use seasonal products, and to eat a balanced diet helping with the ‘5 a day’ message the government and health professionals are trying to promote.
David Rose met celebrity chef Jamie Oliver at the BBC Radio 4 Food and Farming Awards ceremony where Farmshop were honoured to be short listed in the Best Local Food Retailer section.
