Falls Creek Hydro Powers UpOn July 14, 2009, the first kilowatts of Falls Creek hydro power hit the Gustavus grid when Dick Levitt engaged the power system and fed the town half of its load for five hours. System testing continued for the next couple of days with consulting engineers on hand to troubleshoot various aspects of the project. Western Electric Engineering installed the protective relay setup. Phoenix Power Control made sure the control systems worked correctly.
