About Us
The Fair Exchange was set up in 2004 in order to provide customers with a way to purchase great gifts, without having to contribute to exploitation of the World's poorer communities.
We have always thought - why buy something mass produced if you can buy something of equal or superior quality and also contribute to the livelihood of someone who is in need?
If at the same time the gift has been made from recycled resources then so much the better. We are keen to support eco projects and innovative products that use recycled resources - after all, most of us recycle, but how many of us then buy recycled items? At the Fair Exchange we beleive fair trade and ecologically sensitive trade go hand-in-hand. A fair exchange is important between people, and the planet we live on.
