fabric TALES is the English site of our Japanese online shop, Nunogatari. FIY, nuno is fabric, and gatari means tale. Nunogatari was started by Reiko to offer lovely Japanese fabrics to more fabric funs. It's been getting difficult even in Japan to find Japanesy prints in fabric shops. Reiko quit her college teaching job to start this venture. Well, it took some courage for her to give up the career, but she is a real addict to fabrics!

Nunogatari has been pleasing more and more Japanese quilters and crafters, who cannot find Japanesque fabrics in real stores. With the growing wish to let more people appreciate the charm of our products, we opened this website, fabric TALES. We hope to develop happy relationships with fabric lovers from all over the world.
