- Judy Ford grew up in Sydney with her parents,sister and two brothers. She completed her schooling at Loreto Kirribilli and then studied at the University of Sydney where she obtained a first class Honours Science degree and PhD in Genetics. After a year's post-doctoral work at Flinders University of SA in embryology, she went on to work in the field of Human Genetics for 30 years. During this time she led research teams, sat on many Boards and Research Advisory committees and published extensively in the scientific literature.
