In early 1986 the Spencer family acquired a tourist attraction in Cornwall and began carrying out their own marketing and promotions, including the delivery of their own leaflets. The attraction doubled its turnover successively for the first four years.
During the recession of the late eighties the Spencers produced the Cornwall and Devon Supersaver Leaflet, it contained discount vouchers for many popular attractions.
The highly successful marketing and promotion campaigns carried out by the Spencers began to demand all of their time to the point where the family run attraction was sold, and Publicity South West was born. The knowledge gained in their own success is now used in the promotion and marketing of many of the Westcountry's most popular attractions.
