Title
Quaker Mutation Breeders - Exotic Flock Aviary
Description
We both grew up in households filled with varmints of all kinds - birds, dogs, cats, rodents, reptiles, amphibians, fish, rabbits ......... you name it, we had it. It was only natural that we found each other and have filled our own house with a similar menagerie. Terri's mother has bred small birds for years, so she grew up with a bird on her shoulder. Her first pet was a Quaker and she's been a slave ever since. Scott was more of a late bloomer to aviculture. Though tending to the occasional budgie as a child, he wasn't really bitten until his 20s when he adopted a cockatiel a friend couldn't keep. When he hand fed his first chick, he too accepted Quaker slavedom with open arms. Ever since we met in 1998, we knew we would have a Quaker aviary as the centerpiece of our ever growing Exotic Flock.
We are proud members of a growing group of folks who have met online and found the "real deal". We were married in April of 2000 and are blessed to be the ever so proud parents of a perfect baby boy, Alexander, born 5/26/01. He has taken center stage from our Quakers and will grow up with the appreciation and respect we have for life in this world.
