In 1988, EXAKT began distributing German manufactured histology equipment for biomaterials and bone researchers - The EXAKT Cutting/ Grinding System. Specially designed for histologic sample preparation of undecalcified hard tissues and tissues with biomaterials in situ, EXAKT's products filled a unique need in the histology field.
Many of these researchers had other unique needs including transporting these samples from collection sites to the lab. With universal precautions being so critical, EXAKT set out to design packaging that protected the samples and the information they carried, as well as the people who carried them. The result is EXAKT-PAK
