The historic Pomeranian Region is located along the Baltic Sea, stretching roughly from Stralsund in Germany to the mouth of the Vistula River east of Gdansk. Within Poland, the region is divided in the West-Pomeranian (Zachodniopomorskie) and Pomeranian (Pomorskie) administrative divisions (voivodships). Pomerania is home to a number of great historic cities and sites, some of the Baltic's most beautiful beaches, as well as wonderful national parks and natural surroundings.
