- Since its inception in 1966 in Jerusalem, (ETRFI)The Ecumenical Theological Research Fraternity in Israel has become the Israeli roof-organization for Christians engaged in encountering Israel and the Jewish people as well as other Christians. Its members comprise all the historic churches. The understanding is that recent history demands a fundamental consideration of Christian attitudes towards the Jewish faith and people, and that the State of Israel offers a unique setting for facing this task.
