- Watch this space… the changing face of the Toolkit
- Its been a good while since the familiar face of the esd-toolkit has been changed as it’s seen us through several hectic years of LGOL, BVPI, IEG and DirectGov. As progress is made and more and more features are added to the online presence, it is to be expected that the ‘familiar face’ would need a refresh to ensure that people know what is there, how to use it and to optimise ‘usability’. The local government engagement committee (a sub-group of our steering group) is keen that the toolkit continues to develop in support of the vigour and energy needed as we move forward to embrace the comprehensive spending review outcomes (CSR07), comprehensive area assessments (CAA), performance management and collection, analysis and sharing of the new performance indicators (PIs) and the new Local Area Agreements (LAA). All these new challenges are also closely followed by the Transformational- Government agenda, Shared Services, Customer Insight and Business Improvement agendas. In short, our user representatives have made it clear that it’s time for a makeover.
