Escape Harbor Marina in Beach Haven Gardens is a unique type of marina. Owners Tim and Robin Howard decided they wanted a marina that would have a peaceful, laid-back type atmosphere. The hustle and bustle of activities with grease, oil and gas pumps would not be found at their marina. This would be a place to dock your boat and relax without the din of normal marina activities around.
The Howards bought this 60 slip facility in 1985. The facility was formerly Captain Clover's Dock. Escape Harbor Marina now encompasses a small part of land on the lagoon on 32nd Street and the much larger area on the bayfront between 31st and 32nd Streets.
Amenities: A combination of sailboats and powerboats share the 60 slips here with boats ranging in size from 15 to 40 feet in length. A minimum of five and a half feet in depth in both the marina and entrance channel make navigation around here easy even for the larger boats. A large fenced lot provides plenty of off street parking for slip-holders and their guests.
