The Episcopal Day School, an educational outreach of the Church of the Advent-Episcopal, has been serving the community of Brownsville since 1948. What began as a dream to provide a superior educational environment has become an institution of learning that is grounded in a tradition of academic excellence.
EDS opened with a five-year-old kindergarten class in what was known as the old rectory. Additional grades were added and classes met in rooms at the church.
As the Episcopal Day School continued to grow, so did the need for additional space and EDS expanded to the Coria St. location. Little by little, rooms were provided to move classes from the church buildings. Now, all classes, from 3 year-olds to sixth grade have classrooms on the Coria St. campus.
